Come and learn how to create your own vintage style button hat/fascinator.
You could decorate your new hat with a variety of trimmings after the workshop or why not book onto the ‘Funky Flowers’ workshop to create your own special embellishment?
This workshop will show you how to ‘block’ the fabric over the button hat block, how to wire the edge and how to trim the edge with Petersham ribbon. Hat elastic will be added so that it can be worn securely.
The hat will have a lining inside which can be complementary or why not go for something striking underneath!
This workshop is suitable for everyone but please be aware that there is a lot of hand stitching involved.
Tea, coffee and cake are provided throughout the workshop to keep those creative juices flowing.
For full day workshops, there will be a lunch break where lunch can be purchased from The Fold Café.
Free parking is available on site.
Materials and equipment:
A selection of fabrics and linings will be available but if you have something specific that you own and would like to use, please get in touch so we can discuss suitability.
